Nestled in the heart of Europe, Luxembourg City is a captivating blend of rich history, stunning architecture, and a vibrant culture. But beyond its medieval charm, this small country offers a culinary experience that’s as diverse as it is delicious. From cozy cafes to Michelin-starred restaurants, Luxembourg restaurants offer a gastronomic experience for all, containing dietary proof options like glutenfree lunchrooms and vegan specialities.

Here you’ll find a diversity of restaurants, bistros, and trendy lunchrooms, waiting to be discovered. Let’s share some of my favourite places:
Le Bouquet Garni

Located in the heart of the city, this charming restaurant specializes in traditional dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients. From hearty stews to succulent roast meats, each dish is a celebration of the country’s culinary heritage.
Mosconi
Is the place If you’re in the mood for a bit more upscale. This is a Michelin-starred restaurant renowned for its innovative Italian cuisine. This elegant eatery offers a menu that shows the finest seasonal ingredients, expertly crafted into exquisite dishes that are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat.
Oberweis Patisserie
Is a rue paradise for those with a sweet tooth, This iconic pastry shop has been delighting locals and visitors for over 50 years with its mouthwatering selection of cakes, pastries, and chocolates. Whether you’re indulging in a slice ofpure chocolat brownie or savoring a delicate macaron, you’ll find it all here.
From Luxembourg restaurants to exploring the countryside
Luxembourg City is mainly surrounded by the beautifully green, Guttland region. So within a short drive from the city you’ll find plenty of picturesque villages, like Liefrange. A truly hidden gem, with only 53 permanent residents, Liefrange boasts its own unique charm cause of it’s natural surrounding and quiteness.
Glamping and home cooking in Liefrange
We had the pleasure of staying in this cute so called ‘pod’, where we had the chance to do some outside cooking and enjoy nature. Check out the accommodation here. Because the campsite is located pretty remote, I would advice to go here only when travelling by car. You’ll find this campsite in the heart of natural park Haute-sûre, with lots of hills and a stunning blue lake, which is actually a reservoir. Unfortunetely dogs are not allowed here. (would have loved to know this before 😉 ) In short, take some time to explore Luxembourgs surrounding area. As a nature lover you wil be amazed by the stunning landscapes of the Luxembourg Ardennes, with its lush forests, rolling hills, and picturesque villages.

With its diverse range of restaurants, bistros, and eateries, there’s something for everyone. Because of it’s natural surroundings, Luxembourgh is a perfect place to combine a citytrip with glamping or doing some outdoor activities.
