Nijmegen is said to be the oldest city of Holland. While strolling around the riverside or the narrow streets of the old city part it is easy to fall in love with this city. Depending the season, it’s either incredibly cosy or just a-live and sparkling. Besides it’s beauty, this city is filled with lovely glutenfree lunchrooms.

Since a year I get to call this my hometown and at this point I can not think about any better place in Holland to be living. Ofcourse I got out to find the best glutenfree lunchrooms! Let’s check out the best 4 glutenfree lunchrooms in Nijmegen:

4. De Blonde Pater – Nijmegen  

I’d like to start with a lunchroom suitable for all occasions. Called ‘’De blonde pater’’. This lunchroom offers a wide range of lunch options and lots of tables, both in and outside. All of their sandwiches can be ordered glutenfree. In this place your assured of good coffee, a tasty lunch and a most friendly service.

3. Vegan & Glutenfree lunchroom in Nijmegen

At Bhalu you instantly feel like coming home. This yogi and food centre vibes like a cozy livingroom. But, in addition to your weekly yoga work-out there, it’s also a great place to find your glutenfree lunch or co-work. Their menu is completely vegan and surprisingly tastful. Think cauliflower soup, beetroot pancakes or a sandwich pulled jackfruit!

2. Viking – lunchroom in Nijmegen

This lunchbar is great, at first because they offer a puppycino, (happy dog incoming!) your furry friend is more then welcome here! Another great thing, when you feel like having a light lunch, all their sandwiches are also available in a smaller portion. On top of that, their menu has some refresing combinations and all is home-made.

1. Smaakrijk – home made and glutenfree options

Safe the best for last! To my opinion ‘’Smaakrijk’’ is the best glutenfree lunchroom. Besides their glutenfree lunch alternatives, they offer lots of other tasty, home-made lunch options, like soups, all-day breakfast (I mean hello!) The open kitchen creates an atmosphere thats cozy and as we say in Holland ‘gezellig’ (meaning you like to spend your time there 😉).
